In the last three years, Elmec has on numerous occasions been asked to provide for isolations: planning, contracting and labour supply facilities. Whilst we did supply the isolation disciplines as a labour resource only, it was only a matter of time before we decided we should meet the demand and supply the whole package. Isolations have proven very expensive in the past for the clients and the isolation providers have not all been forth coming when it comes to cost effectiveness. The challenge of providing the service with the emphasis on safety and quality but still trying to be cost effective is a challenge we rise to.

Our sister company Overhead line Training limited has worked along side with the Network Rail Isolation Training Providers to develop the soon to be released AP and NP training package. Obviously this allows Elmec to ensure that the highest standards are reached when training our Isolation staff , but ultimately ensures that competence is correctly managed within our own CMS.

The fact that we have our own, purpose built simulation centre to push the abilities of our staff even further is only evidence of our mission to strive for furthered employee development.

Over the last 2 years Elmec has been employed by many of the market leaders in the electrification industry, and one thing we are very proud of is the fact that once we are employed by a client, they have wanted to maintain our services indefinitely. This is something we are very proud of and can only be achieved by good communication with the client.

Currently Elmec employs approximately 17 Nominated and Authorised personnel who are classified as multi-functional personnel. This means that we expect our A.Ps and NPs to make themselves available for alternative works should the isolation be cancelled.
